Goodwill in Waukesha, New Berlin

Goodwill New Berlin

Goodwill in Waukesha

The one at 1400 Nike Drive in Waukesha is amazing.! The Goodwill in Waukesha gets many brand new Target salvage items and marks them at 1/2 of what the clearance price was at Target.  Other locations get salvage as well but seem to mark them higher.  I have taken a lot of furniture to Goodwill, and the easiest time with goodwill furniture donation at the New Berlin store. I have also had really good luck with buying furniture at this location. People are amazed when I tell them I got my brand new round ottoman for $75 at the Waukesha Goodwill. The clothing at this Goodwill can be hit or miss – I have found really good clothes for work but not necessarily great every day stuff. My husband has had good success with cargo shorts and work shirts. Overall this is a clean store that is constantly getting great items in!

Goodwill in New Berlin

I personally do not care for the one in West Allis at 11000 W Oklahoma but love the Goodwill in New Berlin at 3540 S. Moorland Rd. I frequent the New Berlin Goodwill quite often as it is closest and is organized, clean, and full of great finds.  The clothes are hung by gender, type, size, and even by color – and almost every piece of clothing is $3.99 or less!  I have gotten all of my Vera Bradley handbags at Goodwills – some of them brand new with tags on – stop by one and see for yourself!

Goodwill Return For Money Back

1 Comment // General Shopping Tips

Just a quick post to let you know that you CAN take something back at Goodwill (Goodwill return) and get your money back! I had purchased a brand new in box Princess Castle that had been salvaged from Target and when I opened it the bottom of the toy was broken.

I was not sure if she meant for a store credit or money so I went right in. I had to have my story verified that I had spoken to the manager ahead of time and then voila they put the money back on my credit card. I was thrilled with this as it was a $55 item and I would much rather have the money back than store credit for that high of an amount. This is not a common scenario as it was based on the item being defective but I wanted to be sure to share it as I do know of situations where people have gotten a non-working item from Goodwill and not known that they could get their money back. *I did have my receipt and it had been within the 7 day return time period. Hope to help – nobody deserves to be stuck with money wasted on a broken item no matter where it is from!
